Nutley Conservation Group now has over 65 paid up households and several supporters who are with us in spirit, but have yet to pay their subscription! The committee meets regularly to discuss a range of issues affecting the community and has lobbied against developments and the processes initiating developments that its members feel are potentially detrimental to the character of the village. Very many members objected to the Hillmead development in 2005, and the committee, on behalf of the group, has recently opposed the proposals for the Old Police House, the Nutley Arms and the siting of mobile phone masts at the Telephone Exchange and Tylands.
