A Brief History

The Group was established on 12th September 2004 at a meeting called to discuss disquiet in the village caused by the perceived lack of consultation over the proposed Hillmead development. This prompted a "wake up" call to many who felt the need to be more closely involved in local plans and the future design and development of their village.

The aims of the group are:

1. To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment in Nutley and its surrounding area.

2. To arouse interest in proposed developments so that proposals can be discussed and views expressed before decisions are taken.

3. To co-operate with other organisations, both local and national, that have similar views as the group, in order to further the long term interests of Nutley residents.
